Pontoon Rental Policies
- We require 100% of the rental fees to be paid when making a reservation.
- All Major credit cards are accepted.
- Renters must be 25 years or older with a valid driver's license and major credit card.
- All Rentals require a contract to be signed by an adult.
- 30 day cancellation notice is required for full refund minus $100 Cancellation Fee.
- No refunds if cancelled less than 30 days from reservation.
- A $1000 Damage Deposit is required.
- 1-Day rental starts at 10am and ends at 7pm.
- Pickup/Drop off Location: Marina Bay in Mandan, ND.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your reservation 30 days prior to pick up date. We will refund your payment minus $100 Cancellation Fee. NO REFUND on cancellations less than 30 days. Weather related cancellations are determined the actual day of the rental, since conditions and forecasts change. We cannot issue a refund due to inclement weather. However, we will issue a credit voucher that can be applied towards future rental.
Damage Deposit
We require a $1000 Damage Deposit for which we will get a Credit Card Authorization form signed before pick-up. Physical damage is at the renter's expense. Damage can happen but is rare if renters use the provided training and common sense. We will quickly look over the unit for any damage upon return but reserve the right to thoroughly look over the rental at a later time. Renter will be informed of any charges that have occurred.
Insurance Coverage
The rental must have full coverage insurance before it leaves the dock. Please check your homeowner, auto or credit card policy to see if there is an endorsement available to you. We need to have all insurance binder/endorsement in our office prior to departure.
We could also provide insurance coverage during your rental period for no additional cost. Our coverage includes a $1000 deductible, which is your responsibility should anything happen to the rental. The $1000 deductible will be collected at the time of departure, in the form of an additional deposit.
No Pets Allowed
Out of respect for other guests who may have allergies, we do not allow pets on board our pontoon. If evidence of pet is found, you will be subject to an automatic $200 charge.
No Smoking Allowed
Open flames such as candles or incense are also prohibited. A $500 Deep Cleaning Fee will be charged for violation.
No Towing Allowed
Due to safety reasons, towing of any type is strictly prohibited. This includes tubes, skies, kneeboards, wakeboards, etc.
Upon Returning
Cleaning: Our units are always clean at the beginning of your rental. The unit must be clean when returned or $100 charge if cleaning is required. Excessive interior or exterior grime, stains, dirt, requiring deep cleaning will be charged at our shop rate of $89/hr.
Fuel: Each rental leaves the dock with a full tank of fuel. We have a one-time $50 fee to top off fuel tank upon returning.
Day of Pick up
Generally, your rental will be available for pick up at 10am. You will be given complete operating instructions and a comprehensive walk-thru at the time of pick up taking approximately 30min - 1 hour to complete. Please call ahead of time to schedule your pick up. Pickup/Drop off location: Mandan, ND 58554.
Delayed Pick up
Please contact our office as early as possible if you are going to be unavoidably delayed. Remember other customers pick up times are affected if you are late for your pick up.
Return Time
No refund will be issued if the unit is returned prior to the scheduled return date/time. Your rental must be returned no later than 7pm. If not returned during appointed time, you are responsible for the unit until 10am the next business day. To assure compliance, it is necessary for us to assess a late fee of $100 and the daily rate for each day the rental is late.
It is our policy to provide our customers with on-time service. To accomplish this, we need the cooperation of our renters to return the rental at the prescribed return time. Later returns may cause delays in checking you in. You should allow a minimum of 30 minutes for returning the rental and more if the unit has been damaged.
Extensions
Extending your reservation is possible but not guaranteed. You must ask permission prior to your return date and the additional charges must be paid for (usually by the credit card on file) before the extension is effective.
